Thomas Benedict Hock, 75, of Manson passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. Arrangements have been entrusted with Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home.
Tom was born in Gilmore City, IA on July 20, 1948, to Clarence and Mildred (O’Hern) Hock. Tom graduated from Manson High School “Home of the Eagles” in 1967. After high school Tom went on to Iowa State University studying farm operations. After college he returned home to farm with his dad. Tom met the love of his life Linda. They were married on September 30th, 1972, and they celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2022. Tom and Linda started their life on the family acreage in Manson where their 5 children were born and continue to live today. Tom loved his family very much and loved to spend time with them. He also enjoyed riding his Harley with friends. Covering many miles around the country and Canada. Tom always looked forward to his annual fishing trip with his boys and helping Andy on the farm.
Tom is survived by his wife Linda; children Mike Hock, Andy (Dawn) Hock, Tim (Paula) Hock, Janelle Hock and Brittany (Bobby) Knowles all of Manson; grandchildren Stephanie (Tyler) Davis, Alyssa Rautanen, Drew Hock, William Hock, Autumn Doty and Danial Knowles all of Manson; great-grandchildren Lincoln, Evelyn, Maren, Milliana and Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Mildred Hock, his in-laws Howard and Phyllis Lynch; his sister Elizabeth Korte and brother-in-law James Lynch.
